The Law of Attraction Explained

You’ve probably heard about the law of attraction a few times, maybe you’ve even toyed around with the idea of it but do you actually understand it?

Understanding the Law of AttractionA lot of people reject the concept because it has at times been made to seem like some magical way of getting what you want… ‘imagine it and it will appear’… but that’s not it at all! This is where the law gets a bad rep and people start to think it doesn’t work. Naturally It can be quite disappointing when you don’t get the instant results you’ve been promised.

But this universal law is very real and it is in motion every single day. Think of it the same way you think of the law of gravity… you aren’t always consciously aware of it but it’s still happening all around you.

It is important to remember that intentionally using the law of attraction in your everyday life is a skill that takes practice and time. It won’t happen overnight so you should release that expectation before you move forward. Have patience. Here are a few things everyone needs to understand about the law of attraction…

  1. Everything is vibration
    As Einstein once discovered, everything around us is energy and it is in constant vibration. A table, a car, your house, a grain of sand… even colours and sounds. Now I know what you’re thinking, if everything is vibrating why doesn’t it look like its vibrating? WELL our brains are so freakin smart that they translate the vibrations into the reality we see, hear, and touch. Reality as you know it is just your brains interpretation of the many vibrations it receives.
  1. Vibrations of like frequencies are drawn together
    Forget the whole ‘opposites attract’ thing. When it comes to the law of attraction that is not the case. Like attracts like. If you want to attract something into your life you have to match the vibration of the thing you want. You attract what you are in vibrational alignment with. When you dwell in negative emotions such as fear, stress, worry, anger you are vibrating at a low frequency and will attract more low frequency circumstances.
    Example:Let’s pretend you are having financial problems. You are stressed out, and constantly worried and whining about how you have little or no money. Your vibration is low, and you are feeling desperate. The financial strain continues because the universe is bringing you exactly what you are aligned with. Your vibrational match is more stress, more worry, more financial burden

    3. You are the creator
    You and you alone are the creator of your reality. Awesome, right? Whether you are aware of it or not you are calling things, experiences, and circumstances into your life both good and bad. Think about it… if vibrations of the same frequency are drawn together like magnets, AND you control your thoughts and your emotions which control your frequency… then you create your reality. If you want to change your life than you need to do the inner work to change your vibration.  How you are living is a reflection of what you are thinking and feeling at all times.

The best way to start accepting this law is to become more aware of your thoughts and emotions. Be mindful of how it feels to be vibrating at a low frequency and how it feels when your vibrating high. Observe the small ways your day can change when you choose to focus your thoughts on things that make you feel good. No, this doesn’t mean that you can think your way into getting what you want. At least not in my opinion. Your thoughts alone will not manifest the new car, home, or relationship.
